AVAILABLE WHEN LIFE IS DIFFICULT

Who among us would intentionally choose to take the difficult path or the life riddled with more trials?  We are given this option on some treadmills and other pieces of exercise equipment; but even in that scenario, we always have the option to step off the machine at any given point.  This is not always an option in our daily lives when trials come.  How are we to face them?

We have been studying a passage taken from 2 Corinthians chapter 4 this month, focusing on the idea of our lives as "jars of clay" and our choice whether or not to allow God to fill us up with His presence (referred to as treasure).  Are we available to God on a daily basis; to spend time with Him, to serve those He wants us to love, to maintain an open ear for the promptings of His Spirit?

How does one remain available to God when life gets tough?
