NOBODY'S PERFECT, BUT...

How would you complete the title above?  Before you respond, first reflect on the last 7 weeks that we have been studying the Book of James. How do you think James, the half-brother of Jesus, would complete the sentence?  James 2:14 says, "What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?  Can such faith save him?" James is extremely practical and very much a "how to" letter to the early followers of Jesus, who faced persecution. In other words, he expects a sincere faith to lead to life change. James acknowledges man's sinful condition and yet does not believe that it is an excuse to do nothing. He expects a faith that leads to ACTION.  What other type of faith is there?

What steps of faith is God inviting you to take? Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
